
Katherine Liner is a much admired artist known for her wide vocal range and unique style, which legendary record producer Lou Adler (Carole King, Sam Cooke) has described as “a voice that makes you want to listen.”
Also a respected songwriter, Katherine has collaborated with some of the recording industry’s most sought after record producers and film composers.
Katherine's voice and songs can be heard on countless films, tv shows, records and video games for companies such as IMAX, Lionsgate, Amazon, Netflix, Hammer Films, BMG, Warner Chappell, Sony ATV, CBS, Tencent Music, Lifetime Network, Konami/Nintendo, Saban Brands, The Hallmark Channel, Paramount and Marvelous Entertainment.
A noteworthy performance is her moving cover of “Stand By Me” in the IMAX film, We The Marines currently playing at The National Museum of the Marine Corp's Medal of Honor theatre. Katherine's original songs, “Solitaire” and “Double Dare You” were heard throughout the feature film, The Resident (Paramount), starring Hilary Swank. Her haunting voice was heard on the soundtrack and score for the feature film, Ghost Stories (Lionsgate), and she is also the artist/co-writer of the popular international single, “On My Own,” for anime tv show, Tokyo Ghoul. Katherine is also the artist/co-creator/producer of the multi-nominated album/video project, Lullabies in Motion.
Katherine was recently involved in several released projects. She is featured singing, “A Sleepin Bee” on Bevan Manson's 76-piece orchestral jazz album, Talking to Trees with nine-time, grammy nominated vocalist, Tierney Sutton. Also, Katherine wrote, produced and performed the theme song, “Always Here With Me,” for the feature documentary, Everything's Kosher, scored by Emmy-winning composer, Alex Wurman.
Katherine is told that she sang before she spoke. Being the daughter of a classical singer/vocal coach and granddaughter of an accomplished concert pianist, she started classical piano and voice training at the age of 5. Her first job was singing alongside Placido Domingo at the age of 11 as a soloist in the children's chorus of The Lyric Opera of Chicago.
